Emily N. Hernandez, DO

Dr. Emily N. Hernandez, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to patients. She practices outpatient primary care with a particular interest in women’s health, procedures, and osteopathic manipulative therapy.

Dr. Hernandez earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science, with an emphasis in Neurobiology, as well as a degree in Psychology, from the University of Arizona, graduating magna cum laude with honors in 2017. She went on to earn her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University, graduating in 2022.

She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois, in July 2025. During her residency, Dr. Hernandez participated in quality improvement initiatives focused on perinatal depression and influenza vaccination rates in the outpatient clinic.

She also serves as adjunct faculty at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, reflecting her strong commitment to medical education and mentoring future physicians.

Dr. Hernandez is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Chicago Medical Society, American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Medical Women’s Association, and Illinois Osteopathic Medical Society.
