Gary Stuck, DO, FAAFP, is president of Advocate Christ Hospital Physician Partners (ACHPP). ACHPP is one of ten physician hospital organizations with Advocate Physician Partners, the care management collaboration with Advocate Health Care, the largest integrated health care system in Illinois. The founding president of ACHPP, Stuck plays a strategic role by collaborating with physicians to improve outocomes while lowering costs. He also leads critical initiatives regarding federal, state, and commercial payer utilization and quality programs.
A member of the Advocate Physician Partners Board of Directors since 1995, Dr. Stuck served as chair from 1998 to 2010. He also serves on the Advocate Health Care Board of Directors and is a member of the Advocate Christ Hospital Governing Council.
As a practicing board-certified family medicine physician for 28 years, Dr. Stuck is currently president of Lawn Medical Center, a primary care physician group. He was recently named the 2014 Illinois Family Physician of the Year by the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians and is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has held positions as Associate Professor at Rush Medical College in Chicago and instructor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Illinois.
Dr. Stuck earned his undergraduate degree in biology and psychology, Summa Cum Laude, from Morningside College in Sioux City, IA. He received his doctor of osteopathy degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, IA., prior to his internships at Northwest General Hospital, Milwaukee County Hospital and Milwaukee Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee, WI., and residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center/Christ Cooperative Family Practice Residency in Chicago.
